Refund Policy

1. Free Tier

Illumate UI offers a free tier with limited features. No payment is required for the free tier, and therefore no refunds apply.

2. Paid Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on all paid subscriptions: you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase or renewal if you are not satisfied with the Service. This guarantee applies to all customers, whether consumers or businesses. Refund requests can be submitted by emailing legal@illumateui.app or via our Contact page.

3. Refund Eligibility

  • Full refunds are available within 14 days of the charge date (initial purchase or renewal).
  • Only one refund per customer per billing cycle is permitted.
  • After the 14-day window, payments for the current billing period are non-refundable, except where a refund is required by applicable consumer protection law.
  • You may cancel at any time through your account settings or billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access to paid features until then, and no further charges apply.
  • Abuse of the refund policy (e.g., repeated subscribe/refund cycles) may result in purchase restrictions, as described in Section 4.

4. Anti-Abuse Measures

To prevent abuse of the voluntary money-back guarantee, escalating restrictions on new purchases and re-subscriptions apply following each refund issued under this guarantee:

  • After a first refund: new purchases may be restricted for up to 30 days.
  • After a second refund within a 12-month period: new purchases may be restricted for up to 90 days.
  • After a third refund within a 12-month period: eligibility for the voluntary money-back guarantee and new purchases may be permanently restricted.

Before a refund is processed, you will be reminded to export any data you wish to keep.

These restrictions apply only to new purchases and re-subscriptions. Your existing account, your data, and access to the free tier remain available throughout any purchase-restriction period. We reserve the right to deny refund requests in cases of demonstrable abuse or repeated refund-and-resubscribe patterns. These measures do not affect, limit, or remove any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer (see Section 6), including the statutory right of withdrawal under Directive 2011/83/EU.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please email legal@illumateui.app or use our Contact page, including your account email and the reason for your request. Refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

6. EU Consumer Rights

If you are a consumer resident in the European Union or EEA, you have a statutory right of withdrawal within 14 days under Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive), which you may exercise without giving any reason. This statutory right operates alongside, and does not replace, the voluntary money-back guarantee described above. For digital services that you expressly ask us to begin during the withdrawal period, your statutory withdrawal right may be reduced in proportion to the Service already provided. Nothing in this Refund Policy limits or excludes any non-waivable statutory rights you may have as a consumer. See also Section 10.1 of our Terms of Service.

7. Exceptions

No refunds will be issued under the voluntary money-back guarantee for accounts that have been terminated due to a violation of our Terms of Service. This exception does not override any non-waivable statutory consumer rights described in Section 6.
